Phoenix could be seen locally at the Capricorn, the Carousel in Ocean City… in addition to tours across U.S. and West Coast.
There were many personnel changes in ‘80s. Stamboni left and was replaced with John Gleim on drums, who was in turn replaced with Mark Thompson (ex-Hot Property), Duane ‘Fritz’ Freter. Bassists included Don Bellew, and Bill Whitney (ex-Better Half). Vocalist Collette Kelly (ex-Exquisites, Grok, Mad Hatters) fronted the group, and was later replaced with Mary McKenna. Mary eventually left to join The Wave, later returning to Phoenix bringing drummer Jerry Siegel to the group. The final lineup featured McKenna, Lewis, Kropkowski, Whitney, and Siegel.
