Rock group, Pearl Fishers, formed in 1987 after the demise of singer Trip Burch’s previous band Grey March and his association with the band Tangled Hangers. Guitarist Paul Anderson (ex-Tangled Hangers), drummer Sax White (ex-The Difference, Fugues), and former 21 Deaf Man bassist Kurt Tilling rounded out the line-up. White later went on to join Rocket Science.

The group broke up in 1994, but re-formed in the early-‘00s, with Tilling moving over to guitar, Brett Sharbaugh (All Mighty Senators, Slowloader, Kelly Bell Band) taking over on bass, and C.J. Johnson (Broad, Golden Sound Axis, Kelly Bell Band) replacing White on drums.

Their song “Black Box” was included on the 1989 “Merkin Seedy Sampler” album (Merkin 305).

Group not to be confused with later U.K. group of the same name.
