Multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, mandolin…) and vocalist played the coffee house circuits as a folk solo artist in the ‘70s, and as a member of Michael Goldberg Band, and Aubrey Circle. Orlove performed at the Crack of Doom, Coffee Grounds, the Upstairs, Bluesette, No Fish Today, various other church and college coffee houses…

In late 1971 at age of 17 Harry started touring with Tom Rapp and group Pearls Before Swine. He appears on the 1972 Tom Rapp album “Stardancer” (Blue Thumb BTS-44) and the single release from the album “Marshall” b/w “Why Should I Care?” (Blue Thumb 222).

During 1972 he shared the stage with C.W. Taylor (violin, fiddle –Baltimore Symphony Orchestra), and Bruce McIlhaney (guitar). They performed bluegrass music at the 15 Below (in the club’s last year).

Orlove was proficient on banjo leading to an association with Vassar Clements touring and recording on two albums. He also toured nationally with the bluegrass band Bottle Hill. He moved to LA in 1979 working and recording with many well-known artists including Billy Swan, Felix Cavalieri, Robin Zander, Lee Greenwood, Albert Lee, Mac Davis, and others. He has written, recorded, and/or directed many commercial advertisements, and soundtrack work for numerous television and movie projects.

Recent recording releases include a solo CD “Back from The Dead” (2004), and as the Charm City Warblers, a novelty record “A Baltimore Christmas” (2005) which also features other ex-Baltimoreans Dillon O’Brian (piano ex-Paradise Pickers), and Denny Weston, Jr. (drums).
