Tenor saxophonist originally from Flushing, NY. She gained prominence as a member of the Sweethearts of Rhythm in the ‘50s, and was a member of the Dayton Selby Group, and the St. Jenkins Trio (see bios). Willene and her Trio could be seen performing at the New Colony Club on Fayette Street. In 1983 she performed at the International Jazz Festival in Bern.
