Known in the early ‘50s as the Marveleers Trio they performed at the Blue Mirror Club. In 1954 they became known as Larry Grainger & the Marveleers with a group consisting of Charlie Hudson (trumpet), and Tommy Panto (accordion). They performed at the Carousel, and in ‘55 at the Manhattan Club. Beginning in 1956 they became known as Tommy Panto & the Marveleers as Grainger formed another trio. Panto along with Hudson, Mel Seebode (bass), and guitarist George DiGiorgio (Regner) could be seen at the Celebrity (and the New Celebrity), the Sunset Lounge, house band at the Lord Baltimore Hotel’s Diamondback Lounge, and the Latin Casino. Ocean City was a stop on the tour where they frequented the Blue Dahlia Club.
