Howard County band formed after the break-up of local favorite party band Dragonfly. The southern rock influenced band took their name from a Jimi Hendrix song. The original lineup included former Dragonfly members Charlie Ludwig (bass, lead vocals), Craig Voland (lead guitar), and Lou Walsh (drums), adding Dave Clay (guitar), and Jamie Blauser (guitar). Steve Smith (also ex-Dragonfly) soon joined on bass with Ludwig moving back to lead vocals. Mokey Blauser was their soundman.

Jagged Edge played Howard Place, Hidden Valley, Lucky Ned Peppers, Hut Bar, Back of the Vac… Eventually Ludwig left the band moving to Florida and Steve Holt joined as lead vocalist. The group later became known as the Edge Rydyr Band.
Mokey moved to Luray, Virginia, where he was lead vocalist for Southern rock band Ambush.
