Ellicott City based band The Instant Sonification aka THEIS was formed by members of the Excursians Steve Taylor (lead guitar), and Lou Lydard (rhythm guitar), adding Chris Ledig (bass), and Pete Robinson (drums).
THEIS was managed by John Bruns. They played rock covers of bands such as Grand Funk, Cream, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin… at Wilde Lake Teen Center, Aberdeen High School… won second place in a Mt. Hebron High School Battle of the Bands.
