Catonsville based band originally formed to play blues, rock, and psych. After a couple of early formations, the steady lineup featured Bernie Hynson (lead guitar), Vic Lancea (bass), Paul Behler (keyboards), and Bobby Trimper (drums). Bernie took most of the lead vocal duties while the rest of the group contributed to backing and leads. Managed by Bernard’s dad B.E. Hynson, Sr., the group started out playing teen centers and school dances including gigs at Holy Rosary CYO, and a battle of the bands at Mercy High in which they placed first.

Membership changes included Tim Hynson replacing Trimper on drums. On keyboards Behler was replaced with Bob Dill (ex-Apricot Brandy, Pentagon…), who was replaced with Mike Dumler (ex-Taxie), then finally Vince Cinquegrani (ex-Sheratons, Sticky Leaf, Easy Livin’…).

Eventually the Inner Realm began playing for mostly private affairs, bull roasts, crab feasts, wedding receptions, CYO’s, and the like. Armory dances, Martin’s halls… They performed school dances at many of the local colleges and high schools including Howard High School Homecoming 1972, Lansdowne Sr. High 1975, Catonsville Community College…

The Inner Realm also performed many charitable hospital events for patients at Spring Grove, Rosewood Center, etc…
