Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Mark Linthicum. Harp’s bands included t he booed usicians, Nos Mo King, Null Set, Beatoes, Cabal, Motor Morons, Pornflakes, Chelsea Graveyard… He was known as “The King of Peru” and also recorded under the pseudonym Corky Niedermayer. Solo releases include self-titled 6-song 12” EP produced by John Palumbo featuring the songs “Boring Holes,” “The Action/The Reaction,” “Love Potion #9,” “Memorial,” “I Like You,” and “New Horizon.”

His song “The Drill” was included on the 1989 “Merkin Seedy Sampler” album (Merkin 305). His songs “I’m Not Lucid Now,” and “Bishop Tutu” were included on the 1994 comp “Smirk, Titter & Wink, Vol. 1” (Crank 004).

A 1999 CD release titled “Insane!” as by Mark Harp’s Big Thing featured pieces comprised of the band along with many sound bites and loops with vocals, with group including Dave Zidek (bass), Curtis Bay aka Mike Dejong (keys, horns), and Rich Dickson (drums).

Harp passed away on December 24, 2004.
