Original rock and cover band, Archer headlined venues throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for more than two decades. Their diverse sound ranged from melodic rock to alternative, featuring outstanding vocals and musicianship. They had the privilege of sharing the stage with national acts such as Fuel, Kansas, Firehouse, .38 Special, Foghat (the original lineup with Lonesome Dave), Dee Snyder’s Black Widow, Tyketto, and more.
A favorite throughout the mid-Atlantic, Archer was repeatedly voted as one of the best local bands in the Music Monthly annual reader’s polls. They performed at all the local clubs including the Windsor Inn, The Creek, The Zu, Sneakers, Sykesville Station, Donnelly’s (Frederick), Purple Moose (O.C.)…

Their 1993 CD “Enter New Light” resulted in national attention with Archer showcasing at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas, as well as the Cutting-Edge Music Conference in New Orleans, and the Philadelphia Music Conference in Philadelphia, PA.
Their 1997 CD “BLEED” resulted in a signing with independent label, Buzz Chunk Records.

In 2008 the band began writing and working on a new CD.
Original line up featured Drew White (drums, lead and backing vocals: July 1988-‘08+), Kim White (Clark) (lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar: July 1988-‘08+), Alan Bird (bass guitar, lead and backing vocals: July 1988-‘08+), Al Guilford (guitars, vocals: July 1988- June 1992), d’Wayne Long (guitars, vocals: July 1988- 1990), Larry Guggenheim (guitars: Jan. 1993- July 1996 and returned June 2003 –‘08+).
