White Marsh based rock band. Friendship Frigate featured John Harris on keyboards and vocals, Matt Everhart on guitar and vocals, Clark Moiles on bass and vocals, and Tom Conley on drums and percussion. Conley hailed from Middle River and joined the band after answering an ad in the Young World section of the Baltimore News American.

Friendship Frigate played rock of the period of the style that was played on local FM radio station WKTK. Notably they covered tunes by Grand Funk Railroad, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. Friendship Frigate was a local favorite at Our Lady Queen of Peace CYO. They could also be found performing at Middle River Jr, High and the Middle River Teen Center. Not to be outdone by Our Lady, QOP the Mount Carmel CYO often brought in Friendship Frigate. Other regular appearances included the YMCA on Rossville Blvd, and the UAW Hall in Dundalk. At the UAW Hall they appeared on double bills with other top local groups including Dale Coleman & Expressway…

Harris later played for Pynz. Conley left Baltimore in 1979. He played in several Atlanta area bands (the Reasons, Skin and Bones, Lonesome Jones) who all had independent record releases. He eventually moved to Houston where he played in a blues and surf band called Los Rauncheros.
